Mummer’s Play Project: Writer’s Day
An opportunity to experience writing, making or performing a new Mummer’s Play
Mummer’s plays are traditional, seasonal, theatrical extravaganzas. Written in rhyme, they have heroes, villains, doctors, fools and possibly a horse! Whichever characters we choose to include, there will be fights, deaths, rebirths and jokes.
There are three ways to be involved (you can be involved in as many as these as you would like);
WRITERS
15th November 10.30 – 4.30pm Pegasus Theatre Cafe
MAKERS – CREATING MASKS AND HEAD DRESSES
29th November 1.30 – 4.30pm Pegasus Theatre
PERFORMERS – BRINGING THE TEXT TO LIFE!
15th November 2.30 -4.30pm Pegasus Theatre cafe with the writers
10th December 7.30- 9.30pm St Margarets Institute
12th December 12.30 – 2.30pm Florence Park Community Centre
PERFORMANCE: 12th December evening at OPT’s sharing supper night
